St Swithuns CE Primary School

Nurture  Grow  Flourish

Welcome

'Ofsted Outstanding Early Years'

from the Headteacher

My name is Caroline Knighton and it is my privilege to be the Headteacher of St Swithun’s CofE Primary School. We are proud of our reputation as a warm, welcoming, ‘family’ school at the heart of our community.

With our vision to ‘nurture, grow and flourish’, we value not only academic success, but social, emotional, moral and spiritual growth as well. We have the highest expectations of everything we do and believe strongly that all children should have a wide range of opportunities which help them to develop a lifelong love of learning with each learner supported to achieve their unique potential. We work in partnership with parents to nurture our children and their learning so that, together, we enable them to be the best that they can be because ‘from the smallest of seeds grows the greatest of trees.’

We have a strong team of experienced, dedicated and caring staff at St Swithun’s. Together we foster a calm, purposeful, hard-working atmosphere in which our children develop strong roots in our Christian values of Kindness, Respect and Perseverance and grow into happy, confident and independent learners well prepared for life beyond school in our rapidly-changing world.
