Reception - Rabbits and Hedgehogs

Welcome to the Rabbits and Hedgehogs Class!

In Rabbits and Hedgehogs, we love to play outside and explore our amazing outdoor area. We like to use our magnifying glasses to go on bug hunts and love to see what else we can find in the garden. Sometimes we collect leaves which we can use to create pictures or make leaf crowns. In our garden we have a puppet theatre and our very own stage where we can dress up and create performances for our friends to watch. We also love to play in our water trays where we make magic potions and use the pipes and guttering to make rivers down the hill for our boats.

Inside our Rabbit and Hedgehog classroom we enjoy reading and love taking books home to share with our families. We are good at junk modelling, choosing our own equipment and resources to make things using our imagination. In our classroom we even have our very own Elf School with a pointy stick and a teacher’s chair.

Every morning we do ‘Squiggle While you Wiggle’ where we sing and dance to wake our bodies up. Which is lots of fun!

We are good at learning poems and stories where we make up our own actions. We are also very lucky as every week we get to go to the woods. We love going to the woods because we get to climb trees, play hide and seek and play in the pirate ship (tree trunk).

In Rabbits and Hedgehogs, we are happy, kind children who look after each other. We are great at sharing and love playing with our friends and the children in Owls and Otters.
