Year 1 - Hawthorn Class
Welcome to Hawthorn Class!
We are a happy and energetic class that love to get stuck into lots of exciting and interesting learning opportunities throughout the day.
We love having the freedom to choose our own learning and explore our classroom environment. We become budding artists, architects, performers, and authors throughout our busy time and enjoy celebrating our creations with the class each day. We are very lucky to also have our own outside area to release our energy through creative den building, imaginative water play and enthusiastic role play.
As a class, we explore and solve problems through our Maths learning with our teachers and during busy time. We are also developing our sentence writing through our drawing club style of writing. We choose our own imaginative ideas linked to our focus book to help get our ideas flowing into both labelling our drawings and then moving on focus to our own sentence writing.
Hawthorn love to share interesting facts and ask lots of curious questions to really extend our learning and understanding of the world further.
