My name is Fran and I'm excited to be offering a KS1 (Mondays 3.15 to 4.30) and KS2 (Tuesdays 3.15-4.30)  Art club at St Swithuns. I have a degree in Illustration and a background in art education teaching children between the ages of 4-19. I'm currently developing my own abstract fluid art techniques using acrylics.

My sessions are designed to do more than teach techniques, they invite children to explore their creativity, develop confidence and discover their unique artistic voice. With a strong emphasis on self-expression and emotional growth, the club provides a nurturing space where imagination is celebrated and individual ideas are brought to life through a wide variety of materials.

Creative art helps children in several meaningful ways. It supports cognitive development, it has emotional and psychological benefits, it can improve language and communication skills, social development, and develop physical and motor skills.
