Larch's AMAZING trip to Abingdon School
What an amazing and 'poptasic' experience Larch Class had during our Science workshop at Abingdon School on Friday. We developed our observation and measuring skills by testing out some indicators in acids and alkalis and examining the results. We also added a piece of magnesium to hydrochloric acid and then set fire to the gas within the test tube to see what would happen. Our session, quite literally, ended with a bang when our teacher showed us the effect of setting fire to a hydrogen filled balloon. A massive THANK YOU to the staff at Abingdon School for accommodating us and for this brilliant workshop!
