Mothers Day Tea
On Friday our reception children had a wonderful time sharing time together with a member of their family for our Mother's Day Tea. We had been busy for the last two weeks preparing for the tea baking lemon shortbread and strawberry cupcakes, planting forget-me-not seeds in pots that we had decorated, making cards and making placemats. On the day the hall looked amazing after we had all worked together to bring in tables and chairs and to decorate. For the tea itself, we entertained our family member with songs and poems and then sat together to share the yummy things we had been baking. Then we had an extra special treat, we watched a film of pictures of our Mummy as a child next to a picture of us. There were plenty of happy tears - just what we had hoped!
We even carried on with our home learning for the week being to help our Mummy all day on Sunday. What a fab team we are!
