Year 5 children had a fantastic day working with a local artist, Andrew Manson, and an engineer from Pivot Power to find out more about the history, innovation and benefits of green energy, sustainability and environmental art. This creative project, sponsored by Oxfordshire City Council, is related to the electric vehicle charging hub opening at Redbridge Park and Ride in the summer and supports our current learning on Global Warming.
Children designed and created their own energy structures from willow, taking inspiration from modern pylon designs around the world. We were all amazed with their outcomes and are excited to see if any of our children’s designs will be incorporated into the mural to be created by Andrew Mason at the charging hub.
Well done Year 5, you showed creativity and flair and demonstrated positive team building skills!
