Year 2 Science

In Rowan we have been using our observation skills to sketch the fantastic array of plants we have in our school spiritual garden and allotment area. We enjoyed being in the fresh air to do our learning and finding lots of different plants. We discussed the question of ‘Why aren’t all plants the same?.’ Lots of us thought it was because of how different all the seeds were, or because it would be boring if they were all the same. Some of us talked about the different climates, and how this makes plants grow differently. Finally we thought that plants are different so that they can taste different, because we know that lots of plants are used for food.
