Year 6 visit Hampton Court Palace

Year 6 had a fantastic visit to Hampton Court Palace last Thursday. This trip tied in with our Tudor history topic as well as our class reading book, Treason, and we were excited to spot lots of the period features mentioned in the novel like the 'eavesdroppers' in the ceiling of the Great Hall. During our action-packed day each class had a session investigating Henry VIII where we looked at the evidence for and against some popular ideas about the king. We also saw some incredible portraits of the Tudor monarchs, and a replica of Henry's crown. It was such a memorable day and so powerful to see real Tudor buildings and artefacts for ourselves.
